It’s finally here!
Winter Efteling runs until January 31st.
The Santa run was back in December, but who says we can’t still be in the festive spirit?! Our friend Liselore ran again this festive season in the Q-Santarun, which was raising money for food banks in the Netherlands. Here’s a few photos from the event.

We were excited to see the Villa Volta illusions more than any of the others. It didn’t disappoint! One thing that was slightly annoying however, was the generic Efteling music playing in the background on a speaker next to the attraction…at the same time! So, dramatic as the illusions were, the naughty speaker to the right was a bit of a distraction! Either way, they were still enjoyable. Here’s the video, complete with Efteling staff sneaking out of the front door and of course, the rogue speaker 😉
Considering we were new to visiting Winter Efteling, we had a lot to take in! A few things we had seen photos of over the years, but other things were a total surprise. One of the most impressive things was not only the change in design (the ear muffs and scarf) but also the audio of the sleepy litter bin next to the train track.
He wasn’t the only one though! Kleine Boodschap shivers as he points the way to the nearest bathrooms.
On November 6th, Winter Efteling is officially here! Of course, getting a park like Efteling ready for Winter is no small task, so the decorations have already been going up. A silver crown has been added at the Pagoda (next to, not on top!), the skating rink is up, and there’s snow everywhere! It’s all looking rather festive. Click here to take a look!
