People get sunburn, and Laafs fade. Although each Laaf is sprayed to be protected against the elements, the sun does take its toll after a while! We noticed that Laaf Lok needed a bit of TLC, so he came indoors for a makeover. Here he is before the paint brush came out:
He had the much-needed scrub behind the ears, and a bubble bath. His little arms were quite faded, and his hat was almost colourless. So, his hat was painted, as was his skin, and he had some colour put back into his cheeks!
Here he is now:
He is much more colourful now, and has been sprayed with a fresh coat of element protection! Now he can join the rest of the Laafs back in the great outdoors, and continue to run after butterflies.
Can you give me any information as to where I may purchase paints so I can give my Laaf a make over as he is very weathered. I think he is animal lover, he has a bee on his nose and an apple in his hand. Anyone please please
That sounds like Laaf Leep! Games workshop have the flesh tone which used to be called elf flesh, though I’m sure they could direct you to the correct tone. For the body we usually use Revell paints. Hope that helps!
And the element protection? What is that?
It’s a clear spray called clear lacquer. If you’re in the UK you can get it at halfords. I hope that helps.
