It was only yesterday that we said he’d be back at the end of April (well, Efteling said that) but he turned up today!

Tada!:

Langnek NewCan’t say yet as to whether his eyes are working or not but we would imagine that that would have been dealt with.  He is also a lot more colourful than he was before, and looks like he may be sitting a bit higher on that rock!

So nice to see one of the park’s icons back where he belongs. 🙂

We love this.

Just a little bit of ‘housekeeping’ today for you all.  We would like to thank our 150th ‘like’ on Facebook, who joined us over the weekend.  We are gradually becoming a small army!  We’ve said it before, but we really do appreciate you all sharing our posts and photos with your friends on Facebook, as well as any other social media.

Speaking of which, if you haven’t added us on Twitter yet, we’re @EftelingUK.

Remember also that we have a fair few videos over on our YouTube Channel, so please stop by and submerge yourself in some Efteling goodness!  We hope to be adding new videos in mid August, fingers crossed, including Aquanura in the dark!

We’re also on Pinterest now (just getting the hang of that) so please look for us on there too.  If you have StumbleUpon, please ‘like’ us on there too 🙂

Thank you also to the folks who translate large chunks of text for us on our Facebook page, and everyone else who has sent us images etc, we love receiving them!

Please also check out the links down the side of the page, there is some really cool stuff to be found in there!

If you haven’t subscribed yet, please enter your e-mail into the box at the top of the page, and every time we update, an e-mail will be sent out to you.  We promise no spam!

If you do have any images/videos/general thoughts on Efteling that you would like to share with the world, please send them to info@eftelinguk.com or post them on our Facebook page; especially trip reports, we love those 🙂

As a side note, we’ve mentioned that Mr. Longneck was undergoing some maintenance (presumably to fix his static eyes), and today we have seen that he has actually been taken out of the park!  Must need major surgery!  Click here for a photo and a link to a lovely video taken by yours truly.

Have a magical day!

Long Neck Has Eye Strain?

It was pointed out on Eftelist way back in September last year, that Mr. Long Neck has been staring to the left for quite a long time!  If you are not familiar with him, as his neck gets longer and shorter, his eyes are meant to move from side to side, looking across Efteling.

Here he is last year, without eye movement:

And this is what his eyes are meant to be doing:

Please Efteling, give him his eyes back!
