Happy Halloween to everybody! Here is a short video of Spookslot to get you in the Halloween mindset:
Have a spooky time!
I think I’ve decided what the next ‘featured attraction’ will be, thanks to these guys! Check them out, they are very tuneful (insert sarcasm here). Seriously though, this made me smile!
Do you have a friend who would like Efteling, maybe you know someone who hasn’t discovered it yet? Do you know a friend who loves Efteling, but who hasn’t yet ‘liked’ us on Facebook? Let them know about us, as we now have 19 fans, only one away from a nice round number!
Have a magical day!
It is a slow Sunday, so I wanted to share with you a short video which I have seen a few times before and always found quite funny. So it is an advert for the Efteling Hotel from 2009, showing the Prince looking for his Princess, or is he…?
Remember to check us out on Facebook, and share the site with your friends!
Whilst I was browsing through Twitter last night, I saw that Eftelist had posted a photo of Hugo van den Loonsche Duynen, which at first I thought was a photoshop job that just looked really believable! Of course, some things get lost in translation around here, as I speak exactly no Dutch, and translators aren’t too reliable. Looking again this morning, I realise that he has finally got a new mask.
I say ‘finally’ because if anyone had seen him in recent times, they would have noticed that he was looking a little worse for wear, and was in dire need of a new ‘face’. So, here he is:Here is a video of him in action, from Eftelist.
Thank you Efteling!
Things have been a little busier around here than usual, so the Villa Volta article will be up some time next week. For now, here is the Sprookjesboom Film trailer. It looks pretty good!
Keep checking back for more updates soon, and remember to seek us out on Facebook and share the Efteling UK joy with your friends!
Does anyone remember Carnaval Festival before Loeki the Lion got involved?
I do, but it has been a long time! In fact, Loeki first appeared in the ride in 2005, and is very familiar to Dutch children, as he has been entertaining them since the 1970s! Personally, I think he seemed a little out of place in the attraction, however, it is nice to have some different things introduced into these types of rides to spice them up a bit, even if it is only for a short time.
So, we say farewell to Loeki (and the small yellow duck he brought with him) in time for Efteling’s 60th birthday next year. Who knows, maybe we will see him elsewhere in the future!

Although this attraction is not currently in operation, I thought I would share this short video of the Märklín Dancing Fountains. Clearly not as elaborate or on the same scale as the future Aquanura, however this show was much-loved by Efteling visitors for many years, and is located in the Steam Carousel.
We look forward to seeing it working again in the future!
It’s been rather hot here at Efteling UK HQ the past couple of days, and the situation is no different in Efteling! All those folks who visited the park in the summer hoping for good weather, and being quite disappointed, should have picked this coming weekend to visit, as it is going to be hot!Sunday October 2nd will (apparently) be the warmest day, with clear skies and temperatures stretching to almost 80°. So if you live near the park, now is the time to visit!
Have a magical weekend, remember to search ‘Efteling UK’ on Facebook, subscribe, and share us with your friends!
