It’s the spookiest day of the year!
Back in 2009, Efteling did something spooky themselves, involving a light-fingered witch. This witch had stolen some key objects from the Fairy Tale Forest, and they were scattered in various locations, not in Efteling, but around the Netherlands!

He was under wraps for a little while, but the Troll King has seen the light again! His makeover has really brought him back to life, and it’s not just about the new mask he’s been given. His movements seem a lot more fluid, and are those a new set of hands?! His hair and beard are also very bushy now and less ‘old’ looking. His eyes seem a lot more realistic too, he’s certainly not dead behind the eyes like he was…it’s like he’s really thinking about things, Kingly things, perhaps.
We’re also pretty sure he’s looking down his nose at everyone when the curtains open and close, but maybe that’s just the angle of the video!

A couple of days ago Efteling posted a teaser trailer for Aquanura: Second Efteling Symphony. It only features one song, (Joris en de Draak) but it is a teaser trailer after all 😉
Remember, if you can’t wait until next year to see Aquanura part 2, now is your chance to see it! It will run until November 15th, and after that, you’ll have to wait until 2014.

Efteling have declared October 14th until November 15th the weeks of the Sandman! This includes guests being able to meet Klaas Vaak and walk with him from the Brink (Pardoes Promenade) to the lake outside Fata Morgana to watch Aquanura 2.0. Remember that after these weeks, Aquanura 2.0 can only be viewed next year. The Sandman Musical also continues to play in the Efteling Theater until March 9th.
After these weeks are over, Winter Efteling is almost upon us once again! From November 18th, Efteling is transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with an ice rink and many other festive changes to the park. Winter Efteling runs until February 2nd 2014. This is the perfect season to see Aquanura in the dark!

Efteling are giving you the chance to win a pyjama party in Bosrijk, simply by designing your own pyjamas. Second prize are VIP tickets to see the Sandman Musical, and third prize is one of ten CDs of the musical.
To design your pyjamas, click here!
Choose male or female pyjamas, then drag and drop styles and colours onto the pyjamas, as well as images and buttons, to make your garment look ravishing! After that, use the bottom button of the three buttons on the right hand side to enter your pyjamas. You get to write a few words on why your pyjamas are the most beautiful too! Make sure not to sell them short!

According to Eftelist, the Troll King has been fenced off, and the belief/hope is that he may be getting his original mask back. His original face showed a lot more of his subtle movements, and was a lot more fluid and lifelike. The new mask is ok but not how he was meant to be shown to the world! Hopefully we’ll soon see a change.

I still get a lot of folks asking me what Efteling is. Well here are some photos of the Fairy Tale Forest (Sprookjesbos). This is where it all began, although naturally a lot of things have come and a couple have things have gone since the opening in 1952.
